Equity In Access And Care
Health equity is the state in which every child has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health.
Achieving health equity requires valuing every child equally with focused and ongoing efforts to address avoidable inequalities, and the elimination of health and healthcare disparities.
Our researchers are committed to understanding how disparities in care contribute to adversity and child maltreatment. We aim to create problem focused solutions that improve access to care, reduce bias, and promote optimal health outcomes.

Dr. Laub studied the perception of children and their parents when Telemedicine was used for the sexual abuse medical evaluation. The study can be found here.
